FAQs

  • No, we are simply a group of women who get together four times a year help support local charities. There are no membership dues and 100% of our donations go directly to the winning charities. 100WWCCO does not process any payments, all checks are written directly to the charities.

  • We make sure that every nonprofit that is nominated is registered in Oregon as a 501(c)3 organization and that they provide services in Central Oregon.

  • We allow 30 minutes for registration and socializing before each meeting and the meeting itself is 45 minutes. Registration opens at 6:00 pm and we promise to have you moving towards the door by 7:30 pm.

  • One of the requirements for membership is that you agree to donate to whichever charity receives the majority vote. We make sure all the charities nominated meet our guidelines and that they do good work here in Central Oregon!

  • The organization benefits from having as many people as possible attend our meetings. But if you can’t be there, no worries. Checks can be mailed or dropped off after the quarterly meeting. Or you may pay on the nonprofit’s website. Then email us a copy of your donation receipt.

  • The only obligation that you have as a member of 100+ Women Who Care Central Oregon is to honor your commitment to write your $100 check each quarter. If you skip a quarterly donation then you will not be able to vote at the next meeting. In addition, only members that are current on their donations may nominate and present a nonprofit to receive our collective donation. If you skip two quarterly donations in a row then without letting us know then we will remove your from our membership list.

  • The goal of the 100+ Women Who Care organization is to make a large donation on behalf of the group. We want to be able to support this endeavor and give $10,000+ at a time to make a large impact on our community, with each members donation being a part of the larger donation. It is important that your donation is counted in 100+ WWCCO’s total giving.

  • Charitable donations to 501c3 organizations are tax deductible but we encourage you to contact your tax advisor or visit the IRS website for further information.
